About Emily Foster
Emily Foster has guided on Table Rock Lake in the Missouri Ozarks for 11 years, earning a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable bass guides on this challenging clear-water fishery. Table Rock demands technical precision — the water clarity often exceeds 15 feet, and the fish see everything. Emily thrives in these conditions, specializing in light-line techniques and finesse presentations that fool pressured bass.
Table Rock is home to three bass species — largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted — and Emily targets all three depending on the season and conditions. She is especially known for her deep-water expertise, using forward-facing sonar to locate and catch bass on offshore structure that most anglers never find.

Table Rock bass are transitioning to spring patterns as water temps push through the upper 50s. We have been catching quality spotted bass and smallmouth on drop shots with small finesse worms in 15-25 feet of water along the bluff walls and rocky points on the main lake. The key has been matching the natural forage — crawdad colors in browns and greens.
Largemouth are starting to push into the creek arms and protected pockets, staging on secondary points before committing to the spawn. Jerkbaits and swimjigs have been the best tools for finding these transitioning fish. The bite is improving daily as the water warms, and the next two to three weeks should be outstanding as all three species move shallow.
